Drive by Banyan Drive "Hilo Walk of Fame" of banyan trees planted by celebrities such as Babe Ruth and Franklin Roosevelt and others,
Drive By Lili'uokalani Gardens, the largest Japanese garden outside of Japan, donated by Queen Lili'uokalani in 1917;
Drive by Hilo downtown improvement including the King Kamehameha Statue; Visit Rainbow Falls, an 80ft waterfall that gets its name from the rainbows that are often visible in the mist that rises as the water cascades to the rocks below;
Visit Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Visitor Center where we can drive through orchards of Macadamia Nut Trees, sample tasting, browse, and shop locally made island gifts;
Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where we then make our way to the summit of Kilauea volcano at the Volcanoes National Park, the most highly regarded and revered volcanic area on Earth. The Park highlights two of the world's most active volcanoes--Kilauea and Mauna Loa--and offers insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and views of dramatic volcanic landscapes. At the park, you will stop at the Visitor Center, witness the spectacular collapsed caldera, steam vents, sulfur banks, and fascinating scenic lookouts;
Visit Nahuku - Thurston Lava Tube - We will walk through a lava tube and the guide will share information with you on how it was formed by lava. This lava tube is .4 of a mile loop trail with low lighting. Gradual stairs descending into the tube ascending stairs coming out. Not all passengers may be physically fit in which they may stay in the vehicle or outside natural scenery for this portion of the tour;
Visit Richardson Ocean Park for sea turtle watching on the black sand beaches;
Visit Manono Street Marketplace for a local deli stop for lunch;
Return to pick up spot for end of tour (6 Hours total, starts at 9:45 AM, ends around 3:45 PM)
Flights: Hawaiian Air has a departure at 7:15AM with arrival at 8:07am and a return flight at 5:30 PM to land back in Honolulu at 6:24 PM

Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - most of the visit will be spent here! we will cover all popular stops with commentary. The following areas will be visited: Volcano House, Visitor Center, Kilauea overlook of the Halemaumau Crater, steam vents and sulfur dioxide banks, Kilauea Iki Crater, Laumanu Crater and Nahuku lava tube.;
Lunch @ Hilo Farmers Market - The largest and locally grown vegetables and fruits are available in Hilo Farmers market that is conveniently located in the Historical Hilo Town. Guests are given an hour for lunch in this area full of restaurants and local shops.
Visit Rainbow Falls - One of the most iconic waterfalls that runs down the wailuku river located in Hilo. Known for Rainbows that can be scene when the sun hits the mist below. Many tropical trees and plants to view and touch in this area including a famous 1/4 acre Banyan Tree that many tourists and locals love to climb and swing from.
Visit Lili'uokalani Gardens - Explore a Historical 24acre Botanical Garden near the Hilo Bay that host many species of eucalyptus trees, Monkey pod trees and Island tropical vegetation. Many bridges over salt water tide pools full of tropical fish can be viewed and explored. Very often Hawaiian Geese called Nene's (state bird) can be seen here too.
Visit Big Island Candles - An exclusive local candy factory where visitors can sample their famous island delicacies like the many macadamia nut cookies dipped in a variety of chocolates. Also free samples of Kona or Kau coffee! Experience and view the production crew through large windows as they carefully make, handle and pack their amazing products!
Visit Richardson Ocean Park - A popular Black Sand Beach in Hilo known for Honu's (hawaiian green sea turtles) that swim and relax in the salt water tide pools. Here tourist and locals surf, swim, snorkel and explore the many activities available at this island paradise or find a cool place under a coconut tree to hang out!
